We have rented out the single nicest house in the surfing village of Tamarindo, Costa Rica from Friday, 4/25/14 until Sunday, 5/04/14. Villa Paraiso (http://www.luxurytamarindo.com) normally goes for twice the price, but we’re buying in bulk and passing the savings down to you.
Why am I doing this?
I need to give you some back-story. When I was trying to teach myself how to ride waves, I discovered SUP-surfing. SUP surfing has made such an incredible impact on about every aspect of my world, that I can speak ad-nauseum about how it has impacted about every aspect of my world.
My goal is to teach as many people as I can how to surf on a stand up paddleboard. This has been a challenge here in LA, as the water is cold, polluted…and filled with very angry people.
The surf in Costa Rica is damn near perfect…and the temperature is like bath water.
Think of this place like Honolulu…pre-Gidget…minus the traffic and people trying to sell you things you don’t need.
Why Tamarindo?
Tamarindo is notoriously safe. It has one of the best and most consistent surf beaches in the world, but at the same time it offers a variety of other activities, including eco-tourism, zip-lining, howler monkey sightings, shopping, high-end restaurants, etc. It is an easy day trip from some of the country’s active volcanoes and national parks. What is included?
- Lodging in the fanciest house in Tamarindo.
- Round trip ground transportation to and from Liberia, Costa Rica, where you will be greeted with a frosty cervesa.
- Fresh, local breakfast daily cooked by an in-house chef, including local dishes and fruits.
- Unlimited SUP surf instruction when I’m not spearfishing.
- Unlimited access to SUP boards for paddling with Krista in flat water if surfing isn’t your thing.
- Access to a van that we are renting for the entire week to organize group adventures (think zip-lining, visiting the volcano, click here for ideas — http://www.anywherecostarica.com/destinations/tamarindo/tours — we will organize what YOU want to do and try to get group discount rates!)
- Access to a ridiculously amazing kitchen so we can catch our own fish (or buy them from the local fishermen who go out daily and brings fresh fish to town) and cook them with all the insane produce we get at the local farmers’ markets.
Time to lounge at the infinity pool when we come home exhausted from a day in the ocean

- Lunch, Dinner, Incidentals, Other Activities – but see above, we will try to negotiate group rates for activities and there is access to a kitchen if you prefer to cook.

We are offering two options. You can join us for the entire trip (ten days), or you can join us for half the trip and pay less. All rates are based on double occupancy. Two of the rooms have two twin beds, so if you are flying solo let us know and we will pair you up. Here are all of your options:
